The research licence
What you may do with PrimerIQ research, and the one thing we ask you not to do with it.
Effective 26 July 2026 · version 2026-07-26
What you agreed to at sign-upPrimerIQ research is provided to you personally. It may not be shared, forwarded or distributed, except through a sharing link PrimerIQ provides. Single-user licence. Not for redistribution, resale or circulation beyond the named licensee. Quote it with credit; don't forward the file.
What you're buying
- A subscription grants you — one named person — a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read, search and use PrimerIQ research for your own investment decisions, and to quote briefly from it with attribution.
- The licence is personal. Sharing an account, its credentials or its session with anyone else — including colleagues at the same firm — is outside it. Teams need a team licence; ask and we will quote one.
What you may do
- Read, search and download research on any company your plan covers.
- Quote short passages in your own notes, memos and correspondence, provided PrimerIQ is credited and the passage is not the substance of the work.
- Keep downloaded documents for your own reference, indefinitely, including after a subscription ends.
- Act on the research however you see fit. It is our analysis, not advice, and the decision is always yours.
What you may not do
- Redistribute, publish, forward, post or resell research documents, in whole or in substantial part, to anyone outside the licence — except through a sharing link PrimerIQ provides, which carries its own terms and its own limits. Where we haven't provided one, there is no permitted route.
- Share your login, or download on someone else's behalf.
- Remove, obscure or alter the watermark, licence line or download reference on an exported document, or circumvent the export limits.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the research library by any means, including automated use of the export routes.
- Use the research, or text derived from it, to train or fine-tune a model, or to build a competing research or screening product.
Why your documents carry your name
- Every PDF you export is generated for you specifically. It carries your email address on each page, a unique download reference, and a hidden marker recording when it was generated. Passages copied from the site carry a similar invisible mark.
- This is not surveillance of your reading: we record that a document was exported, by whom and when — the same record any publisher keeps. It exists so that a document found somewhere it should not be can be traced to the account it came from, which is the only practical enforcement a small publisher has.
- If a document of yours is leaked by someone else — a lost laptop, a forwarded email you didn't send — tell us. The record helps you as much as it helps us.
Export limits
- Each plan includes an allowance of document exports per rolling seven days, counted on distinct documents: re-downloading a note you already have costs nothing, and never expires.
- A separate short-window cap limits how many different documents can be exported in an hour. It exists to stop library-wide extraction and sits far above normal use. If you hit it in the course of real work, tell us — that is a limit set wrong, and we will raise it.
If the licence is breached
- We may suspend or terminate access, without refund of the current period, where research has been redistributed outside the licence, where the watermarking or export limits have been circumvented, or where an account is being shared or scraped.
- We would rather price it properly than switch you off. If you need to circulate our work — to a team, an investment committee, or clients — that is a licence we sell. Ask first; it is cheaper than the alternative for everyone.
The research itself
- PrimerIQ publishes analysis, not investment advice, and nothing in it is a personal recommendation or an offer to deal. Figures are synthesised from primary filings and from our own modelling, and may include estimates.
- We work to be right and we will correct what we get wrong, but we do not warrant that any figure, forecast or conclusion is accurate or complete, and your investment decisions remain entirely your own.
